Hawthorne just isn’t having a good year with the New Orleans Saints.  He didn’t last year, and he likely won’t next year, if he’s even still in the Big Easy.  That’s part of the reason why the Saints decided to draft two linebackers (Stephone Anthony, Hau’oli Kikaha) and trade for another (Dannell Ellerbe).  Weak in coverage, and subpar in every other category, Hawthorne’s role is quickly diminishing.

However, both Kikaha and Ellerbe, as well as Ramon Humber have been ruled out of Sunday’s game with the Titans.  The Saints will be very thin at the linebacker position without the three, which means Hawthorne is in line to take on his biggest workload of the year.

Luckily for New Orleans, Tennessee presents no real threat on the offensive side of the ball, unless the Saints let them.  Hawthorne better bring his A-game Sunday against Marcus Mariota and company, otherwise this young Saints defense could be in for a surprise.
