I’m not sure there’s been any ‘seasoned’ quarterback that’s come under fire and scrutiny like Drew Brees has. Sure, Peyton Manning has been having his fair share of criticism recently, but the Brees bashing started in the off-season. It didn’t help that Brees hurt his shoulder against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2, which inclined many to say that his career was over. However, his numbers still indicate a quarterback playing like a first ballot Hall of Famer, when he does eventually decide to hang it up.
Why you should vote him in: Despite missing the game against the Panthers, Brees is still in the NFL’s Top 10 in passing yards (6th – 1,871 yards). He’s currently 3rd in the NFL with his 312 passing yards per game. Oh by the way, Brees is completing nearly 68 percent of his throws, which is also in the Top 10. He’s still an excellent surgeon in the passing game, and will continue you prove it week after week, despite what any ‘experts’ say.
