2. Drew Brees throws 3+ touchdowns
I wouldn’t really call Drew Brees throwing three touchdowns a bold prediction, but thanks to inadequacy along the offensive front, no depth in the wide receiver department and a lack of big men in the red zone, he has yet to do so this year.
Against a Colts defense with no pass rush and a struggling secondary, thanks to the help from his offensive line, Brees shines Sunday afternoon. Just like most of the opposing quarterbacks who have faced Indy this year, Brees gets time and finds the open men with no problem.
Between two potentially high-powered offenses, a shootout should be expected Sunday, especially with Drew Brees and Andrew Luck under center for their respective teams. While Luck may find success against a Saints defense giving up a lot through the air, Brees does the same against a bad Colts defense. Put it in the books — three or more scores for Drew Brees on Sunday.
