3. Mark Ingram breaks 100 yards rushing
After re-signing to a nice little contract this offseason, Mark Ingram has yet to live up to his preseason hype. A bad offensive line does not help, but they’ll have their chance to open up some holes for Ingram against a struggling Colts front seven.
Ingram plays a big X-factor Sunday. A ground attack will make way for the pass, easing pressure off quarterback Drew Brees from a second-to-last ranked pass rush and opening up big play and play-action opportunities against Indy’s 28th ranked secondary.
Getting the ball moving in both aspects of the offense is critical. Thanks to an offensive line that steps up, Mark Ingram does his part while breaking 100 rushing yards for the first time this season and paving the way to a big game from his quarterback as well.
