It’s hard to not gush when you think about Stephone Anthony. He screams of being the future of the defense, and is quite more mature than other rookies. His leadership qualities are evident, and we’re going to look at his impending roster battle with David Hawthorne with great interest.

Anthony made several plays during minicamp, and coach Sean Payton talked extensively about what Anthony brings to the Rob Ryan defense. There’s little to suggest that Anthony isn’t the real deal, and I believe that training camp is the perfect opportunity to see his football instincts shine.

Keep an eye on potential 4-3 sets and nickel packages, as that will be where Anthony sees a good amount of reps.
