A New Orleans Saints appearance possible on Houston Texans ‘Hard Knocks’

The Houston Texans will reportedly be the organization featured on this season of ‘Hard Knocks.’ HBO’s gripping documentary series gives an inside look on life in the NFL throughout training camp and preseason for a select team each year. Houston, the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins were the three finalists for the gig to appear on the show.
For those who were unaware, the New Orleans Saints will be hosting the Texans in joint practices for a couple of days before their Aug. 30 preseason contest in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which means the Black and Gold could get a shot at a little face time on HBO.
Sean Payton and company have always avoided the ‘Hard Knocks’ series. Coach likes his privacy, which is indeed understandable. But a little, and likely quick cameo could be pretty cool.
This is not the first time the New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans will have practiced together — they did so from 2008-2010 prior to preseason contests between the two teams those years.
If you remember, the Saints were involved in a giant brawl with the Texans in the 2009 practice, which started with a scuffle between then New Orleans tight end Jeremy Shockey and Houston linebacker DeMeco Ryans.
Maybe things will get interesting/entertaining again. Football is an incredibly intense sport when there’s 22 adrenaline-charged grown men on the field at the same time, even if it’s just practice. ‘Hard Knocks’ is set to premiere on Aug. 11.
