New Orleans Saints capture 3 primetime home games, Atlanta Falcons Thursday night

The New Orleans Saints have officially released their schedule for the 2015 season along with the rest of the NFL.  The Black and Gold will take part in three primetime games this year with all of them taking place in front of an electrifying home crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The first of the three will take place Week 4 versus the Dallas Cowboys, who had their way with the Saints last year at AT&T Stadium.  However, New Orleans took care of business at home in 2013, dominating “America’s Team” 49-17.  The Dome should be alive and kicking October 4 when the contest gets underway at 7:30 PM CT.

Two weeks later, New Orleans will host their most hated rivals in the Atlanta Falcons in what should be a heated NFC South showdown.  It will be the Saints’ first Thursday night game at home since 2012.

2014 was a tough year for the Saints after falling to the “Dirty Birds” twice in what was a highly disappointing season for Sean Payton and company.  Locking up a win would be a huge momentum boost for the following week when the team travels to go up against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.

Big things are expected from the Detroit Lions and second-year offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, the Saints’ quarterbacks coach from 2009-2013. New Orleans fell just short to the Lions in last year’s showdown in Motown 24-23 after Drew Brees was intercepted with a 23-17 lead, eventually resulting in a Detroit touchdown.  The All-Pro quarterback will look to get his revenge at home in the Superdome in the Monday night matchup set to kick off December 21.

With some key offseason additions and nine picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints are in for an exciting year.  Which game are you looking most forward to, Who Dat Nation?
