New Orleans Saints CB Keenan Lewis plans on making number change to 21

New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis took to Instagram again on Monday, only this time to notify his fans that he’ll be making a jersey number switch.

He will apparently be wearing No. 21 in 2015, giving his old number (28) to newly acquired running back C.J. Spiller.  Lewis (@balllike28 on Instagram) posted a picture that said “Lucky Number 21.”

His caption – “Balllike21 on the way. 28 mean a lot to Spiller and I respect that. I’m not selfish a team guy.”  Keenan Lewis chose No. 21 in honor of his long-time idol and legendary Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders.

Lewis also said he promises to buy fans who own a No. 28 jersey a new one if they can show him the receipt.  Spiller wore No. 28 with the Buffalo Bills.  Prior to his time with the Saints, Lewis wore No. 23 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

No. 21 was previously worn by CB Patrick Robinson, who recently signed with the San Diego Chargers as a free agent.
