Setting the school record at Michigan State for career starts with 53, the Spartans’ Marcus Rush already presents a durability trait, which is something any coach loves to see out of a player.

He wasn’t invited to the NFL Scouting Combine in February, but a strong outing at MSU pro day likely helped his stock.  He’s quick off the snap, strong in contact and is outstanding at knocking the ball loose, finishing his career in East Lansing sixth all-time on the forced fumbles list.

As a project in need of developing, he could hit the undrafted free agent market.  The Saints could certainly stack up on edge rushers, a pressing need in New Orleans — Rush could be their guy to add some competition at defensive end and outside linebacker with a chance to grab a roster spot or a place on the practice squad.
