The New Orleans Saints are without a doubt in the midst of the most drastic roster overhaul in the Sean Payton era.  An incredibly disappointing 2014 unmasked numerous flaws on the roster, leading to lackluster performances, blowout losses and sheer humiliation on countless occasions.  Players and position groups that were expected to be a strength of this team turned out to be major disappointments.  Pass rush, pass coverage, pass blocking and run defense were pathetic for most of  the year, the bright side of the past season can be counted on one hand.

Nonetheless, Mickey Loomis and Sean Payton evaluated the team’s performances, drew conclusions and made changes accordingly.  In case you missed the latest ones, make sure to check out our 2015 New Orleans Saints Free Agency Tracker.

This updated 5-Round Saints mock draft is to give you an idea how the Saints could fix the remaining needs on the roster in order to regain control of the abysmal NFC South and contend for at least the remainder of Drew Brees’ career.  The Black and Gold certainly stacked up in the first five rounds with some newly acquired selections.
