Saints LB Junior Galette thrilled about Brandon Browner signing

Coach Sean Payton, GM Mickey Loomis and the New Orleans Saints were able to work their magic and pull off an awesome acquisition Thursday afternoon after agreeing to terms with free agent cornerback Brandon Browner.  Apparently, the deal made linebacker Junior Galette‘s day.

Not only does Browner bring an amazing veteran presence both on and off the field, but he plays with an energy and physicality that are hard to find these days, something the Saints undoubtedly lacked in 2014.

However, those are certainly traits that Junior Galette bring to the team.  In fact, in an Instagram photo he posted immediately following the Browner signing, Galette added the caption “Man This Made My Day! We Got Another DAWG Like Myself! #WHODAT.”

Of course, Junior better hope he’s still with the organization come kick off to the new season — the Saints are rumored to be shopping their entire team for the right price.

In fact, Sean Payton reportedly flirted with the idea of parting ways with Gallete, who has been a bit of a headache since facing off-field issues that landed him in jail, among other things.  He was arrested on charges of domestic violence that were later dropped, according to his attorney.  The incident has been surrounding New Orleans since early January.

Regardless, after the acquisition of Brandon Browner, the Saints’ struggling secondary certainly looks to be solidified with Keenan Lewis, Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro, assuming he bounces back from a sophomore slump, and assuming none of these guys are traded away.  The new and improved “no-fly zone” should be well-intact come September.
