After a career year in St. Louis, Chris Chamberlain hit the open market. He finished 2011 with career highs: 81 tackles, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception. Chamberlain would sign a 3-year, $4.05 million deal with the New Orleans Saints on March 23, 2012, and drew a great deal of buzz for his abilities and talent.

Unfortunately, Chamberlain tore his ACL against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the preseason in front of the Dome crowd, and we’d never hear from him again. He’d attempt to make another comeback in the 2013 season, but again tore his ACL, this time in training camp. Sean Payton announced his fate on September 4, 2013, choosing to release him for ‘failure to disclose physical condition’.
