Saints Draft

New Orleans Saints Pre-Combine 7-Round NFL Mock Draft

Final Thoughts

If Gurley was not available in the third round I would have selected offensive lineman Jake Fisher from Oregon. He is another smart guy who was a leader in his locker room. He has more potential to slide to guard from tackle than Humphries.

If McKinney was not available in the second round, I would have chosen between defensive back Quinten Rollins and guard AJ Cann from South Carolina. Rollins projects to a Perrish Cox-type player. I like his size, basketball background, and his potential as a press corner.

AJ Cann would be my likely pick here. Most scouts agree he is a day one starter that you could plug into the left guard position. He still has some technique work to become better but he would make for a smooth transition if the Saints have an injured guard or if Grubbs or Evans leaves next year.

Keep an eye on these players at the combine and stay tuned for my post-combine mock draft as I’m sure there will be significant changes in these picks! You can also see the entire draft simulation here!
