After initially being “snubbed” in many peoples’ opinions, New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has officially been named to the 2015 Pro Bowl roster. This will be his ninth appearance in the NFL‘s all-star game and eighth as a member of the Black and Gold.
Brees threw for 4,952 yards and 33 touchdowns in 2014, but also turned the ball over 20 times (17 interceptions and three fumbles lost), which is why he was left off the roster at first.
Drew surpasses Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive tackle Willie Roaf with the most Pro Bowl selections in franchise history. Regardless of his turnover issues, Brees still led the team to finish the regular season with the No. 1 overall offense and tied for first in the league in passing yards with Ben Roethlisberger.
The former Super Bowl MVP is the greatest quarterback in New Orleans Saints’ history and one of the best to ever do it in the NFL. He will join fellow teammate TE Jimmy Graham. Guard Jahri Evans was originally selected, but will miss the game after undergoing minor surgery. From Who Dat Dish, we congratulate you, Drew Brees.
