New Orleans Saints guard Jahri Evans will not be able to participate in the Pro Bowl in Arizona on Jan. 25 due to an unspecified injury, reports say.  The four-time All-Pro offensive lineman will be replaced by Philadelphia Eagles guard Evan Mathis.

Evans, who is just one of two Saints chosen for the NFL‘s all-star game this year, was selected to his sixth Pro Bowl following the 2014 season.  Jimmy Graham will now be the only player representing the Big Easy later this month.

Jahri dealt with hamstring issues among other things in 2013 and was forced to miss two games — the only two contests he’s missed since joining New Orleans via the 2006 NFL Draft.  That’s good for 142 starts out of 144 games in a Black and Gold uniform.

Jerrod Colton, Evans’ agent, told ESPN’s Mike Triplett that his client underwent minor surgery and will be 100 percent shortly, so it is likely nothing for the team or fans to be overly concerned about.
