It’s been a depressingly disappointing season for the New Orleans Saints. A team that many included in their Super Bowl predictions is now in a position to either have a top 10 pick in the 2015 Draft or host a playoff game that they have no business hosting.
Ask any Saints fan and they’ll tell you exactly what’s wrong: Drew Brees is getting old, Keenan Lewis is playing injured, Sean Payton needs to hand off play-calling, and the list goes on. There’s no doubt that the defense has been the biggest eye-sore this season, and that has placed defensive coordinator Rob Ryan on the hot seat.
Interestingly enough, I haven’t heard a single fan say that Mickey Loomis might be in trouble. Since winning General Manager of the year in 2006, Loomis has made some questionable decisions financially and in selecting player personnel.
