Some news out of the Big Easy as it sounds like the New Orleans Saints have decided to part ways with WR Joe Morgan.  According to Ian Rapoport of, the Black and Gold’s speedster has been waived.

Morgan was suspended earlier this season because of some locker room issues, so it’s not out of the question to think that’s what landed him out of a job this afternoon.  After suffering an ACL injury that forced him to miss all of 2013, a bounce back and big year with fellow speed demons Kenny Stills and rookie Brandin Cooks was expected, but things don’t always go as planned.

Additionally, Rapoport is reporting that more than ten players have been called into Sean Payton‘s office for review today.  Things are eerie in the Crescent City at the moment.  Nobody quite knows what exactly is going on with a team that was initially one of the favorites to play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.

Now sitting at 5-8 after a pathetic and embarrassing performance in front of a home crowd in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Sunday afternoon against the Carolina Panthers, playoff hopes are quickly diminishing.

During this past weekend’s brutal beat-down, Morgan was seen on the Saints’ sideline getting his head chewed off by Coach Payton, so you can’t help but think that No. 13 was on his last straw.
