It just keeps going from bad to worse for the New Orleans Saints.

It appears another player has been lost for the season due to injury, and this time it’s defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported this morning that Bunkley likely tore his quad in last night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Multiple sources have confirmed the report.

Bunkley’s absence most certainly opens the doors for second-year nose tackle John Jenkins and veteran defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick to see the majority of the action for the rest of the season. Bunkley, who just turned 31, might have played his last game as a member of the Saints, as he’s scheduled to make $4.4 million in each season for the next two years. The Saints will have a big decision to make on Bunkley in the offseason.

Bunkley, who goes by the nickname of ‘Rhino’ from his teammates, finishes the year with 17 tackles and no sacks.
