Who Dat Nation might feel a little bit better about Jimmy Graham’s status for tomorrow’s game. The New Orleans Saints recently announced that the team terminated the contract of veteran tight end Tom Crabtree and signed linebacker Todd Davis from the team’s practice squad.

Yesterday, it was fairly encouraging to hear that Jimmy Graham was likely to be a game-time decision.

The corresponding move with the termination of Crabtree’s contract could also be due to the Saints lack of depth at inside linebacker for tomorrow’s game, as linebackers Ramon Humber and Kyle Knox were officially ruled out for Sunday’s game with ankle injuries.

Todd Davis, for those who forgot, is an undrafted rookie free agent from Sacramento State. May. Coming out of college, Davis was ranked 49 out of 111 inside linebackers. He would be named to the 2013 All-Big Sky First Team, as Davis led the Big Sky Conference and ranked fifth nationally in the Football Championship Subdivision (or FCS) with 10.9 tackles per game. In his entire career with the Hornets, Davis’ highlights include racking up 351 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in his 45 career games.
