2. Why did we miss so many tackles?

Last season the Saints struggled against the run and those woes showed no sign of stopping this year. You have to credit the Falcon’s offensive line with being able to plow lanes for their speedy and shifty backs to create plays. The defensive line did not win at the line of scrimmage, which allowed for several big runs.
The Falcons used the three-back system better than the Saints did. Steven Jackson was limited to small chunks of yardage. The change-up backs of Devonta Freeman, Jacquizz Rodgers, and Antoine Smith gauged them for big runs with their elusiveness.
Vaccaro himself admitted that he missed more tackles in this game than in any game he has played thus far. I would expect this kind of performance to continue for the Saints.
