When it’s all said and done, Jahri Evans will be in the Pro Football and New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame. Evans has been a tremendous staple for the New Orleans Saints’ offense since entering the scene in 2006. Up until last season, Evans had started and played in every single game. Unfortunately, his 114-consecutive game streak ended last year. Evans returns to anchor the Saints offensive line.

2014 Outlook

We’re all banking on Jahri Evans to be healthy this season, and we need him to be. Last season, Evans got off to a rough start (ankle was the likely suspect – and gave up two sacks through four games), but finished the year not allowing a single sack on Drew Brees. Evans should see a huge jolt in play from the addition of veteran Center Jonathan Goodwin, who was teammates with Evans from 2006-2010. Together, coupled with the fact Evans has Zach Strief on his side of the ball, the New Orleans Saints offensive line should be able to push some people around to have a successful run game and good pass blocking.
