At long last! The NFL Schedule is finally here! I’m sure you don’t care about the other thirty-one team schedules right now though. You want to know what the 2014 New Orleans Saints schedule looks like. Courtesy of a great leak, I’m happy to provide it to you, Who Dat Nation!

Just for kicks, let me remind everyone what my prediction was for the schedule nearly a week ago.

Week 1 (Sunday, September 7) – @Bears
Week 2 (Sunday, September 14) – @Browns
Week 3 (Sunday, September 21) – Vikings
Week 4 (Sunday, September 28) – Packers (PT)
Week 5 (Sunday, October 5) – @Bucs
Week 6 (Sunday, October 12) – 49ers
Week 7 (Sunday, October 19) – @Steelers (PT)
Week 8 (Sunday, October 26) – Falcons
Week 9 (Sunday, November 2) – BYE
Week 10 (Sunday, November 9) – Bengals
Week 11 (Sunday, November 16) – @Falcons (PT)
Week 12 (Sunday, November 23) *Thanksgiving* – @Cowboys (PT)
Week 13 (Sunday, November 30) – Panthers
Week 14 (Sunday, December 7) – @Lions
Week 15 (Sunday, December 14) – Bucs
Week 16 (Sunday, December 21) – Ravens
Week 17 (Sunday, December 28) – @Panthers

We have known about the Saints 2014 Opponents since the end of December.

Here’s a reminder of the team’s preseason schedule:

Week 1 (August 7-10) | at St. Louis Rams

Week 2 (August 14-18) | Tennessee Titans

Week 3 (August 23) | at Indianapolis Colts (CBS, 7PM CST)

Week 4 (August 28) | Baltimore Ravens

Some things I’m looking forward to, and some schedule notes:

  • Playing against former players – wide receiver Lance Moore (at Pittsburgh Steelers), safety Roman Harper (Carolina Panthers), Tom Johnson (Minnesota Vikings), center Brian de la Puente (Chicago Bears)
  • Rematches – Cowboys, 49ers, Panthers, Packers
  • Another Brees Watch – The Baltimore Ravens are the only team that quarterback Drew Brees has not won against
  • Fullback Erik Lorig facing his former team (Buccaneers)
  • Familiar Foes – This is the fourth time in five years the team plays the Cowboys, and the third straight season we host the 49ers at home
  • The team has not played the NFC North since 2011, and the AFC North since 2010
  • Last year’s preseason opponents were all AFC teams (Raiders, Chiefs, Texans, Dolphins)

What do you think of the Saints schedule? Is it tough? Easy? Did you think we’d have more or less prime time games? Which matchup are you looking forward to most? What road trip games are you checking into first?
