#6 – Brodrick Bunkley
2014 Salary Cap Figure: $6,112,500
2014 Base Salary: $4,400,000
Dead Money: $4,837,500
Potential Cap Savings: $1,275,000
Contracted Through: 2016

Brodrick Bunkley was better suited for the Saints 3-4 defense this season, however, he lost significant playing time due to injury and because of rookie John Jenkins. He graded out as the #41 of 69 NT/DTs as per Pro Football Focus.

2014 Outlook: Bunkley was only in about a third of the snaps when he played this season, and he’s a prime candidate to have to take a pay cut, or potentially be released, which would hurt because the Saints restructured Bunkley last season from $3.7M to $750K, so Bunkley will be a rich man regardless.

Final Decision: Restructured or Released
