Knox has had an interesting journey, as he started with the Seahawks as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2012. He was cut during final cuts, and then put back on the practice squad in the final two weeks of the season. He would be cut on August 26, 2013, and then claimed by the Jaguars the next day. After being cut by the Jaguars in October, Knox would be signed to the Saints practice squad for only a month before being promoted to the active roster.
2014 Outlook: Another one of those ERFAs that the Saints should retain. Knox seems like one of those guys who ‘just needs a shot’. He has a great chance as a backup ‘LEO’, or some other fit in Rob Ryan’s defense. He could be a very unsung player to emerge.
