To say the offensive line for the Saints have been bad is the understatement of the season. Drew Brees sometimes helps his line, sometimes he hurts it, but the line has not done much to make things better. A coach who has lost his job, though, might be a great option to change things in New Orleans. Mike Munchak is no longer the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
This is unfortunate because he was a great success story for that franchise, both as a player and as a coach, until he held the top job for the past three seasons. However, if the Saints are even a little bit interested, they should start blowing up his cell phone. Munchak coached one of the best lines in the NFL when he was the offensive line coach for the Titans. Anchored by Kevin Mawae, his lines were a serious wall, one that allowed Chris Johnson and Eddie George to carve up serious yardage. His lines were dangerous and rough, ones that stood up against the best in the NFL.
Many times there are dream combinations that almost never happen in the NFL. When they do happen, they don’t often equal success. This might actually be a match made in football heaven.
