OT La’el Collins, LSU
Definitely a huge need for the Saints. Charles Brown will likely be out of town, Zach Strief could hit free agency too and it’s too soon to say if Terron Armstead is the official starter. Getting a hometown favorite could be a good move in terms of confidence for the rookie.
Collins started 11 games at left tackle for the Tigers and recorded over 50 knockdowns on the year leading the way for Jeremy Hill. He has a good push and shows ability to create nice running lanes by moving defensive ends; he always tries to finish the play and is quick enough to take away second-level defender on run plays, if necessary.
Collins could be a good upgrade to a running game that is still struggling in New Orleans.
