Well, this may come as a shock, but the while everyone is feasting or digesting on their Christmas food, you may want to stop eating for at least a second, as the initial injury report for the Saints big matchup against the Bucs on Sunday has been released. There were several players on the Saints injury report for today.
S Rafael Bush (Ankle)
LB Keyunta Dawson (Calf)
LB Kevin Reddick (Shoulder)
QB Drew Brees (Knee)
OT Terron Armstead (Shoulder)
WR Marques Colston (Back)
G Jahri Evans (Knee)
TE Josh Hill (Hamstring)
RB Pierre Thomas (Eye)
Maybe it’s just a tiny blip on the radar, but there’s a little concern Who Dat Nation has seeing Drew Brees on the injury report. Brees hasn’t missed a game with injury in his tenure with the Saints.
We’ll continue to monitor his status as the week goes on, and we trust that it is only a minor injury that the Saints are taking every precaution to make sure he suits up on Sunday. Remember that being limited in practice basically means the player didn’t participate fully in all team drills. Brees practiced in individual drills.
As for the other players, it’s a huge change from last week, as Bush & Dawson are the only repeaters. Reddick, Armstead, Colston, and Evans are likely some issues that may have flared up during the poor weather conditions against the Panthers.
Stay tuned, as we’ll find out more tomorrow.
