The Final Drive
Yeah, I remember getting a text from a buddy saying, ‘This better not be New England, Part 2‘. That was enough to make me sick to my stomach. The defense that had shutdown the Panthers most of the day yielded a 5 play, 65 yard drive in just 32 seconds, which resulted in the Panthers winning the game.
The Panthers would get things started with a Ted Ginn 37-yard reception, and after an incompletion, Newton would find Greg Olsen for 14 yards. After a spike, it would take just one more play for the Panthers to take the lead, as Newton found Domenik Hixon for a 14-yard touchdown.
Who was beat on the touchdown? Corey White.
