It’s tough to argue with this one, but it again falls on Drew Brees. Brees is 2-3 lifetime against the Rams, and while he’s completed 67% of his passes against them, he’s touchdown/interception ratio of 8TD-10INT. If you look at his split stats for just this season, it somewhat tells the tale.

Let’s also point out that in the three losses on the road, Brees has thrown half of his interceptions (4) this season, and the Saints have had five turnovers total (Brees fumble in Seattle) in losses.

Everyone loves to talk about the Saints on the road, especially if it is a cold weather game. While this isn’t one of those cases, it is still a road game, and still worth reiterating that the Saints have to get off to a strong start.

"“It’s not so much about being on the road that really causes problems. It’s the fact that when we don’t have success early, how guys respond and things like that.” -Roman Harper"

Our ability to achieve this is all based on Drew Brees. Period.
