Rob Ryan’s Revenge
Forget the fact that the Saints only allowed 193 total yards of offense to the Cowboys, the fact that Keenan Lewis completely shut down Dez Bryant (especially as opposed to last year), or the reality that Dallas did not convert a single 3rd down conversion the entire game in 9 attempts, Rob Ryan had the ultimate checkmate against the Dallas offense yesterday.
Tony Romo attempted just 24 passes, and completed only 10 of those. He was sacked 3 times (Foster, Haralson, T. Johnson) on the night. The Dallas offense just looked pitiful, as they punted the ball 8 times, and averaged an astounding 3.9 yards per pass play.
To think that Jerry Jones had so much faith in choosing the 73-year old Monte Kiffin over sticking it out with Ryan. The last laugh clearly goes to Rob Ryan.
