Drew Brees Huge Game

Drew Brees did what he does best, and that’s play at an elite level in huge games. Brees would go 34/41 for 392 yards, 4 touchdowns, have 9.6 yards per pass, and finish with a 139 rating on the night.

The offense fired on all cylinders, and Brees would find 9 different receivers on the night: Sproles (7-76-TD), Colston (7-107-TD), Stills (3-75-TD), Graham (5-59), Thomas (7-24), Meachem (1-17), Ingram (2-15), Moore (1-14), and Watson (1-5). The Saints ran 80 plays to the Cowboys 43 plays.

Brees catching fire is probably the best news in the world for the Saints, and bad news for opposing defenses.

Perhaps a few things lost in the shuffle from the blowout, both good or bad: Pierre Thomas finished with 17 carries, 87 yards, and a score. Jimmy Graham only played 33 of the Saints 83 offensive snaps.

"“They just want to make sure that they’re handling me the right way,” Graham said after catching five passes for 59 yards against the Cowboys. “They really look to limit me at times. You know, I’ve got some issues. But you know, everyone does. So it’s gonna be like that from week to week."
