What I’m looking at is the Saints front seven for this week’s X-Factor. I completely whiffed on Sproles last week, but that’s just how things go sometimes. Honestly, to think we can put up 30+ points a game without Sproles having to be a factor is quite encouraging.

The Saints front seven is going to be the difference maker for how the Jets move the ball on Sunday. Last week, the Saints held the Bills Top 5 Rushing Attack to only 88 yards (yes, I know they didn’t have CJ Spiller, but still, it’s truth). The Jets enter 13th in the league in rushing yards/game with 120.4/game.

Let’s also not forget the amount of respect given to former Saints running back Chris Ivory, who finally showed the Jets front office why they traded a 4th round pick for him against the Patriots. Any player who faces their former team always makes for a good storyline. Along with Ivory, Bilial Powell & him make for a troublesome duo. The Saints will also have to stay honest when it comes to Geno Smith, as he has shown that he’s not afraid to take off and run it himself. Look for the combo of Hawthorne/Lofton to once again be the difference in the run game, and when they rise to the task of stopping the run, you honestly want Geno Smith to have to beat you throwing the ball.
