Quick Hits & Uh?

400 yard passer club: Matthew Stafford (488)

Calvin Johnson gained more yards (329) then the entire Dallas offense combined (268). The Lions offense finished with 623 yards of offense.

In case you haven’t heard, the Megatron performance was not the highest in NFL, as Flipper Anderson of the Los Angeles Rams torched the New Orleans Saints in 1989 for 336 yards. There have only been 5 receivers to go over 300 yards in a game in addition to Anderson & Johnson:

  • Cloyce Box (302 – 1950 Lions)
  • Jim Benton (303 – 1945 Cleveland Rams)
  • Stephone Paige (309 – 1985 Kansas City Chiefs)

In recent history, Andre Johnson was the closest to 300 yards, when he had 273 against the Jaguars last season.

Drew Brees finished with a 146.1 Rating Sunday (perfect is 158.3) after his performance Sunday.

Taking Their Hits: In winning efforts, Russell Wilson was sacked 7 times against the Rams, and Alex Smith was sacked 6 times against the Browns.

If the playoffs started this week, here’s how it would shape up (spoiler alert, only one change):

  • AFC: (1) KC, (2) CIN, (3) NE, (4) IND, (5) DEN, (6) SD ***Note: Patriots leapfrog Colts***
  • NFC: (1) SEA, (2) NO, (3) GB, (4) DAL, (5) SF, (6) DET
