Thomas Morstead continues to carry this category and Garret Hartley continues to bring it down. It’s like that lab partner in school where you wanted to get a good grade and did everything you could to do the assignment well but your partner just wanted to play with the Bunsen burner. Two missed field goals, when the game could still have gone either way, is not the way to inspire confidence. This is the type of behavior we have seen from Hartley before he “injures something” and we put him on IR to sign another kicker. There is no John Carney or John Kasay now. This is his show now, and if he cannot handle it, then it is time for the Saints to say “thank you for the 2009 Superbowl Win, but it’s time to go.”
Oh, and Darren Sproles was still pretty much just a man who catches the ball. Besides a kick return to the 30 yard line, no significant returns.
