It’s one loss, and it’s not the end of the world, as the Saints are comfortably in command of the NFC South. However, let the Kenbrell Thompkins play make the case for how the team plays the rest of the way.

The Saints & Patriots both allowed their most points all season. The last time the Saints lost was 12/30/13 at home against the Panthers, 44-38.

Jimmy Graham had not been shutout since the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010.

Tom Brady gets his first win against Drew Brees.

Drew Brees fails to throw over 300 yards for a second straight game.

The Patriots improve their all-time record over the Saints to 9-4 (5-3 at home, 4-1 on the road).

Again, this stings. The Saints enter their bye week, and still remain the 1st seed in the NFC. This is a game that every Saints fan, player, coach, and whoever else will love to forget. 24 hour rule. After the bye week, the Saints will keep playing against the AFC East, as they host the Bills, and then travel to play the New York Jets.
