Thoughts from insidej0b

How is it Wednesday already? Monday night home games throw me for a loop every time. Monday takes forever to get here. I sit there watching football all day Sunday just wanting Monday to hurry up already, trudge through a short day at work the next day and then spend the rest of the week trying to recompartmentalize things so I can get back into my routine. By the time that is accomplished, it’s usually Friday and doesn’t matter anymore. I think I’m getting old.

Browns – I picked against them the past two weeks and paid for it. Buffalo is beat up and playing on the road on a short week.

Saints – This is the first game of leg two of Sean Payton’s Eff You Tour. Records on the road in Chicago be damned.

Patriots – The Bengals lost to the Browns and Brian Hoyer. I’ll take Brady over his former backup.

Colts – Hawks drop their first this week. Andrew Luck is better than Russell Wilson.

Packers – I could see the Lions winning this but I’m picking the home team.

Dolphins – Flacco. Seriously. Flacco.

Eagles – What a hot mess the Giants are.

Chiefs – The Chiefs defense combined with Alex Smith not turning the ball over should be plenty to get the win over the Fitzpatrick led Titans.

Rams – Could there be a worse game this weekend? I’m only picking the Rams because the Jags are that bad, but the Rams aren’t much better.

Panthers – Two weeks to prepare. That is all. I hope I’m wrong.

Cowboys – Why am I doing this? Romo vs. Manning? What is wrong with me?

Chargers – The Raiders. How is it possible that nearly 50% of their salary cap is tied up in dead money? Oh yeah, Al Davis only died two years ago.

49ers – I hope Matt Schaub shows up, silences the critics and leads the Texans forward in their quest for mediocrity for many years to come. What a dream crusher this guy has turned out to be. Thank God they’re on the road because the smell from that big dump he took on the field in Houston is still there.

Falcons – I hope they think the Jets suck as much as I do and overlook this team, but after pulling a Falcons against the Pats, I just don’t see it happening. You never know though. How beautiful it would be for them to blow this in prime time.
27-16, Dirty Birds.
