I will say it was still a great game and still shows that the Saints know how to win games when they don’t have to rely on Brees to be Super Man. The defense give the offense some breathing room, something they didn’t have last year, and gives them better opportunities to get positive yardage and scoring chances. They even forced a few turnovers this game. With Sean Payton back, and the addition of Rob Ryan, the Saints look more disciplined and better prepared every week. As I said, the running game continues to be an issue. The Saints did a great job at hiding that this game but without a run game, opponents will find a way to get to Brees, cover receivers, and make the Saints run to win. All in all, though, a great offensive and defensive effort.
