Darren Sproles was one juke-move away from taking it to the house. I keep having this feeling that he’s going to bring one back soon, and again, it’s been a long time. His returns in general set up the Saints for some great field position.
On the opposite side, Thomas Morstead was perfect on punting for the day. He punted it four times, and the ever dangerous Patrick Peterson was limited to only 2 returns for 7 yards. The only beef I had with Morstead (really wasn’t even him obviously) was the fact he had to help make a tackle on special teams last week.
As for Hartley, he was called upon only once during the game, and booted his 31 yard field goal through. The Dolphins defense has allowed more points than the Saints this season (53-38), and where Hartley comes in in this whole scheme is after you further break it down….the Dolphins have surrendered 6 field goals & 5 touchdowns (the touchdowns yielded are the same as the Saints). So, if a stalemate does occur, look for Hartley’s number to be called upon a few times.
