At the end of the day, a win is a win, period. The offense struggled, as Drew Brees threw 2 horrible interceptions, and the run game (mainly Mark Ingram) was non-existent. The Saints outgained the Bucs 239-92 in the first half, but only had 10 points to show for it. However, the defense responded.
This win is a huge shot in the arm for the Saints, as they are now 2-0 in the NFC South. If you can believe it, we won’t have to worry about another NFC South opponent until November 21st (@Atlanta).
It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but breathe easily Who Dat Nation, at least for today. Some parting items, we likely lost Patrick Robinson for the season, and that facial expression said it all (Chris Carr may receive a call this week).
Tampa is off the radar, and now we turn to the visiting Arizona Cardinals.
