I’m sure your memory is in tact. Tampa was a game that helped justify the right course for the 2012 Saints, as they had previously came off a victory against the Chargers to avoid going 0-5. The game came down to the final play, but you can’t run out of bounds and then catch the ball, so the Saints escaped with a victory. The game was full of wacky plays, including the Malcolm Jenkins rundown of a sure Vincent Jackson touchdown, which would eventually lead to a Saints goal line stand, and then Joe Morgan had a ridiculous deep bomb catch and run for a touchdown. Drew Brees got all of his work done in the first half, and Josh Freeman matched Brees throwing for over 400 yards in the game.
This game is sure to go either way, and after coming off starting the season against Atlanta, it will quickly become a game of importance.
Final Prediction: Saints 30, Bucs 27
