#12 – Arizona (9/22), ‘New Look Cards or Same Old Palmer?’

Carson Palmer, 33, was said to be ‘in his prime’ when it was announced that he was being brought in to the Cardinals organization. Palmer has had his share of troubles in his career, but is actually coming off a decent season with the Raiders (345/565, 4,018 yards, 22TD, 14 INT). Insert your pick six jokes here, and maybe allude to the fact he had 5 fumbles last season (2nd highest in his career), but don’t overlook the fact that Larry Fitzgerald has someone that might actually get him the ball (one would think Keenan Lewis vs. Fitzgerald would be very entertaining to watch).

The Cardinals (5-11) started 4-0 last season, and definitely performed a good bit of rebuilding after their disappointing 2012 year.  The Cards are another team who has a new face at head coach, as Ken Whisenhunt was fired after going 45-51 in six seasons. He was replaced by Bruce Arians, who filled in adequately for Chuck Pagano for the Colts last season (which if you don’t already know the Pagano story, look it up – extremely amazing & heartwarming to say the least). One thing that will be talked about for the matchup, the ‘Honey Badger’ comes home to familiar ground. It could be a surprising matchup to say the least, but I still expect us come out on top.

Final Prediction: Saints 27, Cardinals 17
