We have to start somewhere, so let’s get it going. You might not think this, but playing against the Rams is always a matchup that can go either way. The last outing in St. Louis did not fare so well for the Saints, as they lost 31-21. It was a game where nothing went right for the Saints, as Drew Brees was picked off twice, Steven Jackson ran wild, Chris Long brought his terror, and they were upset by the Rams. In that game, it was not until the last minute of the game where Brees kept his touchdown streak alive, connecting with Lance Moore.
The Rams (7-8-1) have new faces on offense, and it will be weird enough not seeing Steven Jackson running the ball for the Rams, but sadly we’ll see more of him in a Falcons uniform. The Rams look to get things back on track this season, and it could be a make or break year for Sam Bradford. By this time in December, it could either be a much needed win, or just the Saints riding the momentum train. I tend to think we will be playing right.
Final Prediction: Saints 31, Rams 17
