#6 – Dallas (11/10), ‘Sunday Night Saddles’
***Prime Time Matchup***

Historically, the Saints have owned the Cowboys (8-8). In the last 8 meetings, the Saints have gone 7-1 against them. They always seem to meet up in prime time, and rightfully so, as they have tended to be very entertaining matchups. The last two games (which were in Dallas) were decided by a field goal, and the 2009 matchup (in the Dome) was decided by a touchdown.

The Saints got off to a strong start in last year’s meeting, but then Patrick Robinson was picked on by the Romo to Dez Bryant combo, and the Cowboys jumped out to a 14-7 lead. The Saints caught some good momentum, and it seemed as though they had things locked up after a David Thomas 3-yard touchdown catch early in the 4th quarter. However, Dallas would come back and eventually tie the game in the final minute to force overtime. Garrett Hartley would be summoned to kick what would be the game winning field goal, and the Saints escaped with a win.

One thing is certain for this year’s matchup, Rob Ryan faces his former team. You honestly hope for nightmares and fits caused for Tony Romo, and a blowout win for the Saints, because it’s Dallas. Given the recent matchups, I would tend to think this will stick to an entertaining close battle, but expect the Saints to come out on top, again.

Final Prediction:  Saints 24, Cowboys 17
