#7 – @Atlanta (11/21), ‘Thursday Night Revenge’
***Prime Time Matchup***

Nov 29, 2012; Atlanta, GA, USA; New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (9) is sacked by Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham (55) in the second half at the Georgia Dome. The Falcons won 23-13. Mandatory Credit: Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

If you were to believe in any type of karma, or whatever you might believe in, then Atlanta served as the stopping point of Brees’ consecutive passing touchdown record (I bring that up because it was against Atlanta he broke Dan Marino’s single season passing record). This game was terrible to watch last season, and extremely frustrating. The offense turned the ball over and over (Brees threw a career high 5 interceptions), the Falcons were up to a 17-0 lead, and they would eventually go on to win 23-13. What was more depressing was the fact that Roddy White was held to a single catch in the game, the other receivers were held in check, and the defense played excellent.

Here’s the good news. The Saints have won 11 out of the last 14 meetings against the Falcons (13-3) dating back to 2006. It’s a make or break year for the Falcons, as they’ve claimed that for the past I don’t know how many seasons now. If we’re going to go deep in the playoffs, this will be a must win game, and it may be decided in OT.

Final Prediction: Saints 24, Falcons 21 (F-OT)
