Day 3 of the 2013 NFL draft is finally upon us, and while the New Orleans Saints only have two picks remaining, there is plenty of other action going on around the league that should catch the eyes of Saints faithful.
For example, NFC South divisional rival Carolina Panthers have had one of the best draft classes to date after landing elite defensive tackle Star Lotulelei and later picking up promising Purdue product Kawaan Short.
There’s plenty to speculate concerning how the Saints will act with their two final picks. Not many saw them trading Chris Ivory for a fourth round pick and then combining their two selections in that round to move back into the third and select John Jenkins—but they did.
How will the Saints act now? Draft a promising backup quarterback such as Matt Barkely to groom behind Drew Bress? Maybe add a dynamic wide receiver? How about bringing in even more talent to an already promising unit with new leadership?
Who knows? What we do know is we’ll be right here giving you the latest scoop on all of the draft picks in the fourth and fifth rounds. We’d love for you to join us and we keep track of who is going where and how the NFC South performs.
