Welcome to our live NFL draft tracker for Day 2 of the 2013 NFL draft where the New Orleans Saints will look to continue to build off the success of Day 1, where the team selected former Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro.
The first round was full of surprises, but not from New Orleans. Perhaps most shocking was the selection of Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel by the Buffalo Bills. That, and of course, the fact West Virginia quarterback took a nosedive out of the first round and is still available.
There is plenty of elite talent on the board, such as FIU safety Jonathan Cyprien and Florida State defensive end Tank Carradine. What’s most fun about this is teams have had all night to swing trades in an attempt to move up for the elite talent that managed to fall out of the first round.
In other words, Day 2 should be even more exciting for NFL fans everywhere.
New Orleans does not have a second round pick (as of now, at least), but we’ll still be here keeping up with all of the latest buzz and draft selections.
