The 2013 NFL draft is rapidly approaching, and we finally have a list of draft prospects who will actually be attending the event. Major names such as Geno Smith and Tavon Austin will be in attendance. Some potential New Orleans Saints draft picks will also be in attendance, such as Barkevious Mingo and Dee Milliner.

The new was broke first by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Here’s the official list so far:

  • Barkevious Mingo, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, LSU
  • Bjoern Werner, Defensive End, Florida State
  • Chance Warmack, Guard, Alabama
  • Cordarrelle Patterson, Wide Receiver, Tennessee
  • Dee Milliner, Cornerback, Alabama
  • DJ Fluker, Offensive Tackle, Alabama
  • EJ Manuel, Quarterback, Florida State
  • Eric Fisher, Offensive Tackle, Central Michigan
  • Ezekial Ansah, Defensive End, BYU
  • Geno Smith, Quarterback, West Virginia
  • Jonathan Cooper, Guard, North Carolina
  • Kenny Vaccaro, Safety, Texas
  • Lane Johnson, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma
  • Luke Joeckel, Offensive Tackle, Texas A&M
  • Margus Hunt, Defensive End, SMU
  • Menelik Watson, Offensive Tackle, Florida State
  • Sharrif Floyd, Defensive Tackle, Florida
  • Tavon Austin, Wide Receiver, West Virginia
  • Xavier Rhodes, Cornerback, Florida State

There are a few names on the list above who could hear their name called by the Saints with the No. 15 overall pick. As mentioned, linebacker Barkevious Mingo is one. The Saints could use some more competition at outside linebacker despite the signing of Victor Butler.

Another is cornerback Dee Milliner, who is expected to go early in the draft, but crazier things have happened. New Orleans lost out on the Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes, so a starting corner is technically still a need across from Keenan Lewis.

Safety Kenny Vaccaro is has an outside shot of being on the board and could be another option the team looks at. He’s an elite prospect and would provide an immediate upgrade over Roman Harper. Also keep an eye on offensive tackles Lane Johnson and D.J. Fluker. Luke Joeckel won’t be around when the Saints pick, but Johnson and Fluker could. They’d come in and immediately start.

Keep in mind this is not the final list by any means. Other big-name prospects have been invited, but have yet to make a decision on whether to attend or not.
