Two more players signed by New Orleans Saints to reserve/future contracts

The New Orleans Saints continued to build to their offseason roster on Friday as general manager Mickey Loomis announced they signed wide receiver Preston Parker and defensive end Jay Richardson to reserve/future contracts.

Parker was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent from the University of North Alabamain 2010.  He had to transfer from Florida State after his junior year due to several arrests including one for DUI and another for carrying a concealed firearm and possession of marijuana.

His time with the Buccaneers saw Parker record 44 receptions for 596 yards and three touchdowns.  He also was used to handle kickoffs and punt returns.  Parker returned 30 kickoffs for 617 yards and 23 punts for 210 yards.

Richardson was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Ohio State where he played for three seasons.  He was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks(2010) and the New York Jets(2012).

For his career Richardson has recorded 117 tackles and seven sacks.
