Several New Orleans Saints signed for 2013 offseason to future contracts

Now that the New Orleans Saints are heading into the offseason, they are already doing some internal housework on building a roster going into Organized Team Activities(OTA’s) and training camp.

General manager Mickey Loomis announced that they have signed the following players to reserve/future contracts:  WR Andy Tanner, CB Ryan Steed, WR Jarred Fayson, OG Ryan Lee, and DE Braylon Broughton.

The most recognizable is Tanner who has spent the past several seasons on the Saints practice squad.  He appeared that he might finally crack the roster in the 2012 offseason but injuries derailed that dream.

With WR Devery Henderson likely to go and WR Joesph Morgan moving up to take his spot, look for Tanner to battle for a chance at a receiver spot or on special teams.

Steed, Fayson, Lee, and Broughton all were on the Saints practice squad this season with Steed, Fayson, and Lee being late additions to the squad at the end.
