The New Orleans Saints issued their Friday injury report and not too much has changed in the past several days, including fullback Jed Collins’ status.

Collins has not practiced all week with a foot/ankle injury and could possibly miss the game between the Saints and the Dallas Cowboys.  If he can’t play, then tight end David Thomas could be called into take his place at the position.

This could mean that the Saints run game could suffer a bit since Collins is not only a great special teams player, but a blocker as well.  Tight end Michael Higgins could also see some more snaps if Thomas is regulated to some fullback duties.

One good piece of news is that offensive tackle Zach Strief, who has been limited with a knee injury, was a full go in practice.  The Saints will need some veteran experience on the offensive line when they face the Cowboys pass rush on Sunday.

Still limited in practice were running back Chris Ivory(hamstring), running back Pierre Thomas(knee), and cornerback Patrick Robinson(groin).
